Hi! I’m 40 years old and expecting my 4th child. Currently almost 38 weeks, and I can only tell how frustrated I am being offered often to be induced at 39 weeks because of my age, risks of stillbirth and because of the baby size. My last baby weighed 9lbs and I delivered him last year, all my births were at the hospital. I appreciate your channel and all the support you give to women. I pray my body will go into labor without any induction and that I can deliver a healthy baby! 🙏🏻

Praying it works out well! I'm almost 40 and pregnant with my 9th. 39 weeks today. My doctors amazing and doesn't push any intervention unless necessary. She sees no reason to make baby come early when I have no issues. I wish every women could have a doctor like her. I went to some prenatal massages this pregnancy and I know the massage therapist also does induction massage. Maybe something like that would help?

Dear Bridget, thank you for your encouraging videos and classes. I would like to add one note. I am still preparing mentally for pregnancy. I bought a book on Maternal anxiety and started reading it, went to a psychologist, plan to do a hypnobirthing class… But yesterday I had a talk with another psychologist, specialised in the subconsciousness. She performed a test and established I feel in prison. The idea of becoming a mother makes me feel imprisoned because of my parents’ role models. But she thinks I am just looking for excuses and procrastinating, and not really afraid of the challenge itself. So according to her words, within 1 months mental practices she believes I will make up my own mind. I hope this helps if someone feels the same as me. Still I am sure I want to have a lovely child one day, not far from now, and can’t wait to do your course!

As soon as they broke my water I thought I was gonna faint from the pain every time I had a contraction. I didn't want to get an epidural but I absolutely had to. I was shaking so hard from pain. This home made remedy sounds quite good and CHEAP! Which makes it even better! Well worth trying. My baby was in agony with severe burn-like diaper rash and I was at my wits end. Diaper change times were really stressing me and my husband and we were each actually making up excuses to avoid having to change the diaper! My mom told me (when I broke down in tears) to apply a soothing salve or balm as the creams weren't working and I eventually stumped up for quite an expensive one. this salve was called something like 'small troubles' and it worked like magic! I wish I could remember the name. It came in a pot with a white lid and it was being recommended in forums and the reviews were quite good. Any of the other salves and balms will probably be just as good and from the moment I first applied it I kind of knew it would work. My baby stopped crying once it was applied. His bottom was healed in a matter of a week or so. Thanks mom!

Sometimes two three patients kept in one bed, 15-20 mamas screaming in one room... It's going to be very much difficult for me to go through this... Pray for me But i have been practicing yoga, concentration and have planned to head to hospital only when necessary.

i'm having my first baby currently 8 months pregnant and having a low risk pregnancy, planning to have my baby with my midwives at the birth center. i was seeing a doctor at the same time as well until recently and i finally decided not to see him anymore. ever since the first appointment he had talked about how he induces all of his patients at 39 weeks and how he doesn't let anyone go past 39 and he didn't even give me a choice in that he just said that's how he does things and that didn't sit right with me from the beginning along with a few other things. i'm very glad and proud of myself for not seeing him anymore because i know it will give me a much higher chance of having the positive natural birth experience i want to have. i have been watching your videos since the beginning of my pregnancy and i feel like i have learned so much and gained confidence and i don't feel very fearful about giving birth and more empowered and exited. i have also been thinking about becoming a doula myself because i have become very passionate about pregnancy and birth and all the things you can do to make the process easier and positive.

I've had 8 natural hospital births, the thing that's really helped with each of those is that I have a doctor that I trust. I know she will take care of any issues if they come up, but I also know she supports me 100% in having the natural labor I want. She even let me go 15 days late with one of mine. Feeling a little self conscious because people are asking questions and noticing my size. I’m having a summer baby so it’s harder to feel comfortable hiding in layers, though I am thankful to have a very lightweight poncho to wear over shirts. Congratulations on your new journey! Becoming a mother in your 30s can be a unique and empowering experience. Many women are now delaying motherhood until their 30s and beyond, and it's becoming increasingly common. Some benefits of becoming a mother in your 30s include: - Emotional maturity and stability - Greater financial security - Established career and social networks - More life experience and wisdom to share with your child - Possibly more confident and self-assured in your parenting style However, it's also important to consider the potential challenges, such as: - Higher risks of certain health problems during pregnancy and childbirth - Lower fertility rates and potentially longer time to conception - Balancing work and family responsibilities - Possibly less energy and physical stamina compared to younger mothers Remember, every woman's journey is unique, and there's no one-size-fits-all approach to motherhood. Embrace your own path and enjoy this exciting new chapter! payhip.com/b/HO2B4

A week ago I’ve lost the ability to walk upright. I wasn’t sure if it was back labor. But I’m in terrible pain. I told my OB and the nurse only suggested to drink water. The pain radiates down my legs and through my back. I feel like hunchback of notre dame! I have to use the walls, counters and couch just to walk around the house. I can’t lift anything. I don’t understand what happened! Heat pad, hot shower and ice temporally help with pain. Tylenol isn’t working. I have been rolling on the birth ball to relieve pressure and roll my hips on it so it helps some. I have in induction set in 2 days I can’t take this debilitating pain any longer.
